The letter Aleph is the “father” of the Aleph-Bet, whose original pictograph represents an ox, strength, and leader. In ancient times, oxen, under harness, were the primary engines for agriculture and thus civilization. This is the reason the Hebrew kabbalah begins with aleph, the ox, as does the Hebrew alphabet. The Hebrew letter Aleph א Aleph is the first letter of the Kabbalistic alphabet, or better said, the Kabbalistic aleph-bet.
Such is the beginning of the word, the sound AAHH. Remember that it is written: In the beginning was (Aleph) the Word, and (Aleph) the Word was God.
The Fool is the Tarot major trump representing the Hebrew letter Aleph, the first Mother letter. The origin of the Kabbalah is lost in the night of the centuries. Kabbalah is from the Hebrew word meaning ‘from mouth to ear’, thereby signifying a secret oral tradition.
The Hebrew letter Beth בּ means “house” and the letter resembles a house.
Beth is attributed to Tarot 1, the magician.
Thanks to the courage and strength of the letter gimel, which is associated with the archetype of the camel, humanity can overcome the test of crossing the desert. Gimel, the third letter of the Alefbet. It originally looked like a camel. In fact the words “camel” and gimel are related, and in Hebrew gimel means “camel.”
Gimel, the thirteenth path, connects Kether and Tiphareth. It is the character “G”. It is associated with the tarot trump, The Priestess (the High Priestess of classical decks).
Daleth is the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which means door or womb.
In the system of the Golden Dawn, The Empress corresponds to the Hebrew letter Daleth and the planet Venus.
The Hebrew letter, Heh or H means window. Heh means “behold” and, by extension, the idea of a window, something we look through.
In the Tarot, the symbol represents both the fourth Trump, or Emperor.
The Hebrew letter Vav means hook, or nail. The shape of the letter in the Phenician alphabet bears some resemblance to a hook.
Vav – The Hierophant, Tarot card of this path, represents the village elder, the keeper of custom, arbiter and final appeal in local dis- putes.
The meaning of the baby name Zayin is Sword or other weapon. The sword has to do with the action of cutting something off.
The Lovers corresponds to the Hebrew Letter Zayin. Kabbalist mysticism is the basis for Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism, the Illuminati, Knights Templar, and many other occult organizations. Mackey’s Encyclopedia of Freemasonry devotes almost three pages to the Kabbalah.
The Hebrew letter is Cheth, meaning a Fenced or Enclosed Field. Kabbalah predates all wisdom, going back to Abraham 4000 years ago, and the ancient Kabbalistic book that belonged to Adam over 5000 years ago. The Freemason’s connection to Kabbalah is profound. They knew Kabbalah contained all the secrets about Jesus and the Zohar.
In kabbalah, the Chariot is assigned the letter cheth.
The Hebrew letter for this aspect of consciousness is Teth, meaning “Snake, or Serpent”, and the shape of the letter itself is in the shape of a coiled serpent. The fertility knots Nelly ties to the bed resemble a snake.
The corresponding tarot is strength.
The Hebrew letter Yod means “the open hand of man.” “Yod Chazach” means a Strong Hand.
The Hermit. This card is attributed to the letter Yod.
The Hebrew letter Kaph, “kaf”, means closed or grasping hand.
Kaph, the fist or closed hand is attributed to Jupiter and The Wheel of Fortune.
Lamed means “to teach, to instruct”. It also means “Ox-Goad”.
In the tarot of Thoth, lamed is present as the card justice. I think Nelly wants justice for the 3,000 souls lost on 9/11. This scene seems to be the climax of the video. Lamed also corresponds to Psalm 119:
Lamedh (Ox Goad, Whip)
89 Your word, LORD, stands forever;
it is firm as the heavens.
90 Through all generations your truth endures;
fixed to stand firm like the earth.
91 By your edicts they stand firm to this day,
for all things are your servants.
92 Had your teaching not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget your precepts;
through them you give me life.
94 I am yours; save me,
for I cherish your precepts.
95 The wicked hope to destroy me,
but I pay heed to your decrees.
96 I have seen the limits of all perfection,
but your command is without bounds.
In ancient Hebrew thought, the letter Mem symbolizes water. In fact, its name is derived from the Hebrew word for water, mayim.
Mem is the path of the Hanged Man on the Tree of Life.
Samekh means tent-peg or prop, and as such corresponds to that part of a structure or house which acts as the foundation or primary support in any structure.
In the Golden Dawn system, the Path of Samekh is associated with the Temperance.
The Hebrew letter Ayin means “eye”.
Ayin corresponds to the tarot trump ‘The Devil’ in the English Hermetic tradition.
The letter Peh means “mouth,” as in the source of speech.
Peh is related to the tower in the tarot.
Qoph means the “back of the head” in Hebrew.
The tarot trump associated with Qoph is The Moon.
“Resh” means the head and face of man.
The tarot trump The Sun is associated with Resh.
Shin means “tooth”.
Traditionally, the letter Shin is attributed to Judgement which is, itself, attributed to the element Fire.
Tav (or Tau) means signature or mark. Nelly lines up for a handout in the video where they will most likely have to sign. If you were illiterate you would have to sign with an X. When Jesus says, “I am the Aleph and the Tav”, what He is saying is that He is the MARK of GOD, or God’s signature.
The Path of the World – TAV.
Death is missing from the video as well as the star. The Hebrew letter for Death is Nun, which means Fish.
Sadhe represents the letter “S” and it means fishhook. Why did Nelly leave these two letters out?
Here we have the completed Hebrew alphabet.
Here is the tree of life with the tarot paths. The Tree of Life is a symbol from the Kabbalah (Qabala), continuing ten spheres or energy centres, called Sephiroth (numbers):
1. Kether – the eternal, the spiritual perfection
2. Chokmah – Power of creation, energy, wisdom
3. Binah – Understanding, realization
4. Chesed – Condensation, the power of growth and stability
5. Geburah – Movement and changing, the power of destruction
6. Tiphareth – Consciousness and harmony, the balance of the middle, beauty
7. Netzach – Creativity and anarchy, sensitivity
8. Hod – intellect and logic, structure (Mercur)
9. Yesod – Reflection and imagination (moon and water)
10. Malkuth – the root, the origin, the subconscious
The music video was directed by Sophie Muller. The music video features Nelly and a male actor (who is assumed to be her husband) in traditional Portuguese dress, around the Settler time period. It is a masterpiece of esoteric symbolism. Through this video one can learn Hebrew and Kabbalah. This is Nelly Furtado’s “Great Work” of Kabbalah.
I learn Hebrew watching this video.
